QA File Fix starts with a convenient step-by-step wizard that only asks a few questions, and performs the recovery automatically. Thanks to the newest recovery technologies built into the product, QA File Fix can locate and recover more files than any previous-generation data recovery tools could ever do. While it can undelete or recover all types of files, QA File Fix applies special attention to the really important stuff. Supporting over a hundred different types of files, QA File Fix can reliably recover most office documents in Word, Excel, RTF, PDF and other formats, compressed archives such as ZIP and RAR, audio and video files, pictures and RAW files produced by digital SLR cameras. The innovative recovery technology can reliably locate and recover files in supported formats even if the file system is corrupted or completely non-existent, or if the hard drive is badly damaged.

The recovery works by matching information from the file system, if any, against data gathered from scanning and analyzing the entire surface of the hard drive. After the scan is complete, you'll see a list of recoverable files. Each file can be previewed before recovery and without writing any data onto the disk being recovered. The preview shows exactly what is being recovered, and works in both free and registered versions of QA File Fix. The product is fully compatible with all revisions of FAT and NTFS, including FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS4, and the latest NTFS5.
