Controlling the data exchange process between the device and the computer, logging and structuring serial data into a database - that's the brief common task list of any automation engineer. RS232 Logger AX monitors any number of serial ports (including RS232, RS422 and RS485 via a hardware adapter), captures data from any devices connected to these ports and logs the information into a customized log file.

The program offers far more than just naked serial port logging; it features painless exporting functions as well. This allows you to build a full-featured real-time data gathering system, requesting dozens of RS232 devices and storing information into an ODBC database, such as Oracle or Access, or put the info directly to a target application via DDE and OLE support. Even if the destination is a DOS-application - RS232 Logger AX still can transfer the serial port data to it by sending key strokes. This RS232 logger can also work as a DDE server, so you can build even a heavy industrial SCADA system based on it.

RS232 Logger AX implements various logging options (including real-time logging of all data sent from serial ports to the computer - a sniffer mode). It can work as a service, and it supports all Windows platforms from 9x to Vista. Finally, RS232 Logger AX is extremely easy to master; every configuration step is extensively illustrated, while the detailed contextual help ensures you never miss any single nuance.
